The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has declared a serious drought, emphasizing the need for strong water conservation measures. Water Wise will continue through 2026, featuring a new series of events led by Salwa Khan of the Mothering Earth program. The initiative helps residents understand regional water issues and learn ways to conserve and protect local water resources.

The Trinity Edwards Springs Protection Association (TESPA) is a major part of the legal fight against Aqua Texas. Aqua Texas, which provides water & sewer service to Woodcreek residents, is involved in ongoing litigation regarding:

  • A proposed water and wastewater rate increase
  • Allegations of over-pumping
  • A federal lawsuit against the Hays-Trinity Groundwater Conservation District
    (HTGCD)

Andrew Weber, President of TESPA, will:

  • Provide updates to Woodcreek and Woodcreek North residents on the legal cases
  • Address concerns about over-pumping
  • Share tips on water conservation and water reuse

GIVE AWAY!

To support Woodcreek residents’ efforts to be water wise, TESPA will give away 10 rainwater harvesting barrels & 10 shower control valves. Must be present to win!
