Data centers are coming to the Hill Country. As of September 2025, the San Antonio area ranks third in Texas with 50 data centers operating there, and the Austin area has another 40. In response to community questions about how data centers use water and what community leaders can do about it, HCA created an easy-to-read guide with key terms and recommendations for minimizing the water impacts of these new data centers.
